We live in a society where we tend to overwork, look after everybody else, but ourselves, where we feel guilty about taking time out and where we often lack deep and meaningful relationships with others. This three-day Forrest Yoga retreat offers space to reconnect to and nourish oneself, as well as to practice self-care. The intent is to offer room to explore who we are and what we need; to simply be and also to rejuvenate.

Each day consists of a three-hour morning session where ceremony and asana are used to come back home to oneself, to strengthen the body and increase flexibility, hence creating freedom for mind and body. This is followed by a longer break where there is room to take in the beautiful landscape of Domburg by going to the beach, swimming in the sea or just going for a walk. In the 2.5 hour afternoon session the theme of the day is explored through partner work, ceremony and exercises that incorporate Shamanistic and Body Psychotherapeutic Principles.

Schedule:

Monday: 5-7pm Asana Practice, 7.30pm dinner

Tuesday + Wednesday: 9am to 12pm Ceremony and Asana Practice, 12pm to 3pm break, 3pm to 5.30pm afternoon session, 6pm dinner

Thursday: 9am to 12pm Ceremony and Asana, 12pm to 2pm break, 2pm to 4pm afternoon session

Biography:

Sandra is a certified Forrest Yoga teacher and one of ten worldwide Forrest Yoga Guardians, authorised by Ana Forrest to teach Ana’s Foundation and Advanced Teacher Trainings, as well as certified continuous education programmes. She is also trained in Body Psychotherapy and passionate about how change and transformation comes about through the interplay of yoga and psychotherapeutic practices and principles.
